“Piantata” is the name of the parcel of Sangiovese, where in ancient times the Olivetan friars cultivated the vine married to the mulberry tree, the so-called “piantata”.
GRAPES: Sangiovese grosso 100%
PRUNING: Double guyot and spurred cordon (1 bud)
HARVEST: Second ten days of September, manual in crates with selection of the grapes.
VINIFICATION: Simple destemming. Spontaneous fermentation in 10 hl oak barrels.
AGING: 12 months in 10 hl oak barrels and 7 months in steel.
BOTTLES: 3300 and 30 Magnum
COLOUR: Pale ruby red.
BOUQUET: Fruity, spicy, vertical, fine and elegant. Charming.
TASTE: Intense, fruity, spicy, vertical, sapid, fine and harmonious.
